About Me

Valeri Paul currently teaches Business Analytics, Machine Learning, Educational Technology and Instructional Design courses. She uses her business consulting experience to provide her students’ with experiential learning opportunities. Her educational work began after she earned a California Teaching Credential and taught Science, Health, English and Driver Ed in K-12 and HE.  As an instructional designer and project manager she has developed hundreds of online and traditional courses.  Her passion to improve education for teachers began in executive roles at corporations, like McGraw-Hill Education, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and other ed tech start-ups.
Health Science, Educational Technology and Business Management are part and parcel of Valeri’s own education. Her Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degrees were earned at San Diego State University, and her Doctor of Education degree, along with a second Masters in Business Analytics were completed at Pepperdine University. In her spare time, she volunteers as the Chair of San Diego IEEE Women in Engineering and other inclusive STEM related organizations.
