Career Technical Education

The Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway equips individuals with specialized skills and practical knowledge, preparing them for a range of professions. Combining academic learning with hands-on training enables students to develop expertise in specific industries like healthcare, technology, business, and more.

Information and Communication Technologies

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is the intersection of technology and professional development. It involves the strategic use of digital tools and resources to enhance career growth.

What’s the difference between CTE and ICT?

ICT is a subset of CTE. CTE covers a wide array of education across multiple industries, whereas ICT focuses on technology-centric skills.

University of California Requirements

If reviewed by University of California (UC), CTE can fulfill a “A-G” requirement. The “A-G” requirement is one of three prerequisites that students must meet when entering the UC system as a freshman.
